try checking your fuses, it may be as simple as a burned out fuse or possibly the light bulb itself may be burnt out, it's not a difficult fix and it shouldn't be expensive
hope this helps!

If you can get the right bulb, it's not too difficult to get at.
Just pull out the three knobs and pry out the panel.
Then unplug connector and disassemble.
I think I heard some time ago that someone had found the bulb at a regular hardware store or something.

I just did it a few weeks ago. It's kinda a PITA to replace the bulb, but it was worth it. There is a good write up on Jan's page I think. I'm at school now so I don't have the link. I'll post it tonight if no one else does.

I know i have to replace the bulb, what i am asking is how do i get at. How do you take off the heater/air panel to replace the bulb...i doubt my fuse is burnt out, since the car is 12 years old and probally the bulbs never been replaced.

I don't know if this will help only cause I have an SLC which is an easy swap just pull the knob and remove bulb then replace. but I also have a fox that had both bulbs go out and all I did was remove the buttons and slider and pulled the face off with a flat head. That gave me access to two little bulbs on the face plate and just swapped those out for new ones. I cant imagine the G60 face plate is that much different from the fox ????

The panel pops out after you take out the 2 sliding controls and the rotary knob.
Then use a razor and seperate the white backing plastic from the black face cap, inside the 2 pin connection point, there is the bulb hiding,go to sutozone/pepboys and find an instrument cluster replacement bulb, then bend the prongs and shove it into where the old bulkb lived, reassemble with CA or some other ABS plastic glue and reinstall.

i am pretty sure..not positive.. but i think those lights are very accesible with the head unit out... if you still have the orig unit insert two U-shaped pieces of coathanger on each side of the head to release it...dont unplug it though.. (security codes)
