I have a 1987 Golf GL. Only a single tone sounds when I use the horn. Is this correct or is there a second horn that is not working?

Re: horns - are they dual note? (1.8 nut)

I don't know about yours but my 92 gti has 2 seperate horns. One in front of the radiator and one tucked up behind my drivers side fender towards the front. I only saw it because i pulled my bumper off and noticed it behind a vacumn canister.

I also have an 87 Golf GL
Look in your driver side front wheel well, easier when you remove your wheel first.
Mine had 2 stock horns = dual note.
Look for dangling wires not connected to anything.
They may have just disconnected.
If not then it may have burned out.

88 single note. Lean on it for a little long and that single note turns into a screech. Worked for me

The european horns sound different than ours. I want one.
