It's a horrible picture, due to the low light, but I had just washed the car and was trying out the new digital camera.
Got the car about 10 days ago, haven't done anything yet, don't plan to (student, no job currently) anytime soon, but it's winter in upstate NY, so I don't feel bad... Cruising the forum, though, so I learn more and I know what I want to do when I actually get around to doing things....

that's the exact same color as my car...holy crap...i've never seen that color on any other 2 door golf...only on 94 jettas and 4 door golfs...
amazing...as far as i know, that's a very rare color on 2 door golfs...i'll post a pic of mine later..

94 Golf Sport, 2.0L, Indian Red... I don't really know what "Golf Sport" is supposed to mean, I guess it just refers to the fact I have 4-way disc brakes... Anyone else wanna chime in and lemme know?
I'm glad I went VDub, though. I gotta say, this forum's one of the best car forums on the 'net, it's nice to have people that love their cars, but don't do it at the expense of everyone else's makes/models. (No, no, i'm not sucking up!

is indian red the name of the color? had a dealer (ch imports - NJ) try and tell me it was metallic bronze....last time i checked, bronze was a brown color.
i think the paint code is TC3P...i think.

Another Golf Sport...Nice.

The Golf Sport is a pre-GTI 8V. The Sport evolved into the GTI in '96.

A Golf Sport is exactly the same as a newer 2.0L GTI..."Sport" is what they called it before they brought back the GTI name. Only differences are that your Sport has the black textured side moldings and the 7-spoke Orlando wheels, neither of which came on a GTI (GTIs have the newer painted moldings and different wheels). GTIs also have the tinted tails and foglights, not sure about your sport. Nice car though, and a very rare color too!

They have a discussion in there about what it's really called, "Pearl Red" or "Mulberry"... I'll just stick to Indian Red, heh.

Unfortunately, no tinted tails or fogs. So all I got was the 4-way disc, the black moldings, and the orlando wheels? What a ripoff!

At least people like the colour...

I actually changed the pics that you see. Thats just my car. I do have pics of my car next to lunchb0x's car, as he lives just down the street from me and drives a VW of the same color.
Its an awesome color and i've grown to love it! i hope you love yours too!!

do a search and you will find our little golf sport post from a week or so ago. The 94 sports are a rare bird and are missing some of the things the 95's got. The 94 golf sport technically doesnt exist...it was officially a 95 only model, but I have heard of a few sports with varying options and some called "LE" from 94. Enjoy it, and you will be modding soon...
BTW Zwoobah, the late 95 golf sports had painted trim on the side, not the textured stuff.

Just to let you all know i have a 95 sport and it has the tinted tails from the factory........the 94's dont have the tinted tails...but the 95's do....

I'm going to go home and get my 1994 Golf GL Catalog and scan the options page to show that VW recognizes this color as Pearl Red . . .
