My girlfriend says the American TV commercials are close, but not quite.
The typical American pronunciation is like "HUN-day", which drops the "y" in the first syllable (since English has no "hyuh" sound) and overstresses the final vowel sound. It really should be more like HYUN-deh.
Using the more common Romanization system used today the name of the company would actually be written Hyeondae.

did you know the name literally means "MODERN"? lol. Well I guess they're getting closer to their goal these days...

Yea, dosen't JD POWER rate them MUCH MUCH HIGHER in quality then vw..??
