How do you Switch Gearknobs?

Hello i've got a 93 Corrado, and i want to make my interior look a tad more sporty, so i'll start by changing the gearknobs. But how do i get rid of the original one?? It's not screwed on like in A2's, and it seems to be impossible to change.. Any help?

my 90 was screwed in, it should be the same, ive seen VR6 knobs on G60's it was screwed on as far as i know...after market knobs are held in with little set screws...
