This is on the technical side, but can someone tell me what mechanism the ECU uses to manage the boost level (e.g. specifically what to the chips do differently than the stock ECU that results in more boost)?
Does the ECU actually "know" what boost is actually being delivered (e.g. is there feedback via sensor)? If so, is there a code recorded when there is a problem like a leak that results in lower than requested boost? Would you get a CEL?

Re: How does ECU control boost level? (rsbaker)

it controls boost via n75... which is the factory electronic boost controller(if you wanna call it that)
boost amounts are read by the map sensor, and maybe the n75 reads boost comming in as well....
the most important information about the n75 is, it works best in the garbage can... thats a personal opinion...

Re: How does ECU control boost level? (drm916)

with the n75 the computer is able to controll boost levels based on throttle input, engine load and a various other amount of data. this is why i feel the n75 provides the best boost control.
