Dude it will be really, really fast. Like amazing. Lots in low end pull and torque and low rpms at freeway speeds.

Buy a new coil and get it going, you will love it.

Re: how fast would a vw pickup be with a full aba crossflow swap.... (mattinbend)

but I have a new coil and still no spark!!! it has got to be something unpluged... i just dont know what....
the only thing that i do know is that the ecu is not sending a signal to the ignitor on the coil to spark...
if the hall sensor or whatever that thing is on the distributor is bad will it do this??
i dont think it is the crankshaft postion sensor(speed sensor) because the resistance checks out ok, but i cant get the codes out to see if that is it because i dont have the dash harness with the data link connector...

you can check your hall sensor by putting a light on it pull the fuse for the fuel pump and just turn the motor over and if it flashed it ok if it doesn't it might be the problem, but I have never seen them go bad before, but I no it is possible

Re: how fast would a vw pickup be with a full aba crossflow swap.... (MiCrO)

First rule of swaps: if you car wasnt running before, or running ****ty to begin with... a new engine isn't going to make much difference when the ignition or fuel system is bad. sorry. i didn it once (same thing... spark problem) and it cost me asbout 3K in damage.... think about it first

one exception in my case... nothting from my truck(electrical wise) is still there... i converted to the CE2 system of a 95 golf so it has nothing to do with how the original car was running....
