How hard is it to make an Exhaust that fits a golf fit a Jetta

So IF you wanted to buy an exhaust ( you know one from the classifieds cheep) but it was mad efor the golf, how hard is it to make it adapt to the Jetta?

it'll fit fine. but you'll need a longer tail pipe....

I may be wrong on this, but I think they're the same except for the ending pipe on the Jetta is longer. Can anyone confirm this?

what about making a pre 96 car's exhaust fit a post 96 car's exhaust?

You'll have to extend the portion in front of the muffler...from Golf to Jetta....easily done. I have a stock VR6 Jetta muffler on my 2.0 and I had to cut that front portion off....take a look on a stock Jetta and you will see what I am talking about.....don't fret over this it's an easy adaptation from one to the other.
