Actually good question....... I'm kinda in the same boat....My G-Ladder may be getting on its last leg.......not sure......but....I'm not in the mood to put another SC in it.. So I was thinking the same thing. A few people have told me the same thing you guys joked about with selling it and buying a VR6. Not a good route if you have tons of money invested in the car already. I figure it cant be anymore difficult than stuffing a VR6 in a Mk2, and Mk2 conversions I see are going for under 5 grand right now. And thats including, the VR6 engine, wiring harness, tranny, all new belts, new hoses, etc. One question is, would a G60 tranny work with a VR6 engine? and how about the gauges? or would I need to replace the cluster

if you want to ditch the G-lader, go turbo.... or lysholm, if you have more $$.
At least keep the motor, it's as stout as VW can make them.
Bigger injectors with a matched chip for 20 psi will run like a scalded dog
