This question doesn't include those that pulled it early to replace it with a performance exhaust. I'm trying to gage the average duration of the stock exhaust on the 12v VR6.
Just another thing I need to know.

147.5k miles on my 99.5 VR6 exhaust. The cat is dead, but the rest of the exhaust still looks good. I'll be replacing the downpipe and cat this spring.

Wow, that's a lot of miles for those pipes! You must do a lot of long drives to keep the system hot and moisture out.

I do a lot of 200 mile (each way) highway trips, but also do a bunch of short city trips.
It's not very difficult to keep a VR running hot, in fact it prefers to, so I doubt internal exhaust problems are common. External exhaust issues due to salty roads and lots of wet weather are probably a whole different story though.

47k miles on my 4 years old car and no problems
