oops, posted a poll by accident.
I want to keep a ride that isn't race stiff, something maybe a little stiffer than Eubach Pro Kit. How low can I go with just shocks and springs? What is the thing that needs to be changed if I lower more than like 2"? I'm thinking I'd like 2 inches, but I have heard that some kits that advertise 1.5 are actually lower than some that say 1.9... sorry for rambling, hope you get the idea

tia!

Re: How low can you go w/o coilovers and keep a good ride? (Treiber)

I think H&R race springs or H&R cup kit is the lowest you can go without getting coilovers. I have H&R sports and Bilstein shocks. I couldn't image a smooth ride with any less spring travel. I'll take you for a ride in my car when im back from school. let's meet up, dave too.
If you go 2" or lower you need to change the front sway bar.

Go to srsvw.com, there is good information on this site that will give you a better idea about the ideal setup for our cars.
If you still want to go 2 inches all around, you will sacrafice some ride and handleing on the streets because you will have 2" less of suspension travel, however if you do lower it 2" there is a good chand you will need a new front sway bar. good luck to ya http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Depends on your roads and what you consider stiff. I'm down about 3" on H&Rs and the ride is bumpy at times and can be annoying over especially large "waves" in the road but its nice and tight.
