new or old, I can't say I have ever seen a hood run much at all, mine seems to be quite content stationary.
but joking aside, hoods are way expensive new, just find a straight one if you can at a junkyard and get it painted or go aftermarket.

u can try the wreckers to see if u can find one in your color in better shape, that's the cheapest route that i would consider anyway.

For $300 plus dollars, I'd just get a little more money together and get a carbon fibre hood. I've been told they hold up under anything!

$290 painted and installed with new hinges, I kinda forgot to latch the sucker down one day, but it looked really nice molded to the windshield.

Where do you buy an aftermarket hood for $54? I want one, especially if it will clear the ABA tall block...
