I'm dying to know what the 1.8 16v will feel like in my gutted and stripped out Rabbit GTI, compared to my 2.0 MK4 Golf with a slushbox? I keep telling myself that the 16v has 123 horsepower stock, while the Golf only has 115 horsepower stock, not to mention the Golf weighs nearly a thousand pounds more than the Rabbit. Can someone give me any opinions on this. I can't wait until my swap is done!!

lets just say that you will probably be parking the mk4 for quite some time

once i got my 16v bunny going i parked the vr6 gti for a very loooooooooooooong time. have fun and be careful

Who needs a 16v? 1.8L 8v's will beat 2.0 MK4's all day long.
At least I've never lost to one. Knowing that, a 16v rabbit will be tons of fun.

once you drive the 16v bunny you'll be glad you didn't pay more for a vr6 mk4 cause you'd still wanna drive the bunny!! I have a 2.0 in mine with basic mods and I used to keep up with a friends M3 (until his parents paid for a bunch of mods from Dinan). The only time I took it to the track was with a broken first gear so I ended up having to launch out of second gear. I still managed a best time of [email protected] and a worst of [email protected] I'd sellthe mk4 get a mk2 for a daily driver and do a 16v turbo in da bunny!!!! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

And I have the motor, siring and everything else you need to make
an insanely fast Rabbit.
MK3 & 4 VR6 GTIs were no problem for my bunny.
