How much paint would I need to Paint my Cabriolet? I was thinking of buying some Basecoat, Primer and Clearcoat for it. But I don't know how much I should get.

what all are you painting abe?
door jams, engine bay, etc etc
for a full respray engine, doorjams etc, I would say about 3 quarts of paint so you have a little left over. a gallon of clear

I used a full gallon for my Caddy. That included all the jams, under the hood and most of the bed. I allowed plenty of overage for color sanding. I used a single stage.

I was quoted 2 quarts at the local PPG supplier the other day. Don't forget reducer and another 200 dollars of supplies for prep!

If you're using more than 2 quarts to paint a golf, you have waaaaay to much overspray. You either need to readjust your paint/air mixture or go with an HVLP.
I painted my GS and suburban and only used 3 quarts and my golf took a little less than 2.

I agree with Mr Tickles- two quarts should be plenty if you're using a HVLP rig. It'll save you a lot of paint thanks to reduced overspray.
