How much would my car Weigh about???..

...well i have a 96 jetta gl...and i had a vr6 swap done...and if and whenever i race a stock gti, jetta vr6...i just seem to be a lot faster...how much of a weight difference is there...cuz im pretty sure thats wut sets me apart...i mean now i have a chip, intake and exhaust, but before that i was still quicker...when i just had an intake and exhaust...i just barely beat a Vr6 Corrado...by like 2 inches...so any info is appreciated...thanks..

recycling centers usually have scales to weight the trucks coming in and then again when they leave..... See if they will let you drive up and weight your car....
I got the weight of my car on the scale at E-town....

Where did your motor come from? If it came from a corrado, the tranny has deeper gears which explains some things.

If you get your car weight figured out this might help. At the race track I weighed my 1998 VR6 Golf. Minus my weight it weighs 2800 approx.

...my motor came from a 97 getta glx vr6...supposedly...
