On my OZ`s, I have 215 40`s right now, (17x7.5) and cant afford some big bligness so I figured Id see if I could get a pair of tires stretched on them for the look
. So what is the narrowest tire I can get in a low profile 17?
Thanks
Kyle

205/40-17 is about your only option.. they won't be that stretched, if you want stretched you'll want an 8 or 8.5" rim with the 205s.. those 215s you got are for 9-9.5

Baaah damn you LBS. had to crush my dream
. I wish I had the money for some big deeps and pulled fenders. Also does anyone know how the ride is? Is it alot rougher with some stretched rubbers?

Nah the ride is pretty much the same. Less rim protection, and a little loss in performance, but nothing you'll notice on the street really - it's a trade off, and whether its worth it or not is your call
But say a 215 on a 9 or 205 on an 8 is definitely not stretched enough to hurt performance

WHY?
IMHO, <dons flamesuit> this look is just Euro-trash... or is it Euro-rice. Oh yeah, I forgot it looks cool to have the rims stickin' out while the side wall is pulled back as tight a Joan Rivers facelift.

Believe it or not, I didn't mean to pick a fight... it's just that I don't get it. At any rate, your rides are most likely in better shape than my urban warrior with 151,000 miles !

Sure Blackie.. here is what my bodyshop charges:
6 hours custom labour per fender @ $55 cdn per hour
2 hours paint labour per fender @ $80 cdn per hour
So it ends up being about $2K CDN or $1300 USD
