i am running a MK5 rear wiper setup on my mk4 and my mk5 gti
i refuse to pay $11 online (plus shipping) or pay whatever the local dealer feels they need to bend you over with
so, i bought 1 28" cheap blade, $6.50ish from walmat. it is JUST enough to get 2 replacement blades out of

original VS the replacement

on the oem blade, pop the ends off and it will all slide apart.
take the new blade apart and and cut the rubber blade to length
put it all back together

the 2 little pcs. are how much that was left over after having 2 replacement blades,

$6.50 and 10 min of my time
win win!!

i dont know
Yes, I've done it before. In fact, Rus Slivinsky (Dubstop, and I can't remember the name of the company before that, but I bought from the previous company) used to sell inserts for the Touareg wipers.

If you buy the wrong inserts, the rubber will not fit into the channels on the wiper frame- so purchase carefully.

I'm going to add this to the DIY/FAQ.
