Just turn it by hand for a few rotations. That will get it going. I just changed my power steering lines and that worked for me. Once you start the motor the rest will be pushed out into the resevoir (leave it open some). Once the foam stops some, just top it off with fluid.
My system is totally dry, just bolt up the pump and fill thru the res?
I spent a bunch on that pump, don't want to mess it up. Thanks,
No don't run it dry. You should prime it. Bolt up the new pump, fill it w/ fluid as it sits there and rotate the pulley, this will pull fluid through the pump. Then fasten down the lines and fill the resevoir. Then start car and top off. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
