I've got a 2016 jetta 1.4 tsi auto. I'm getting a p0016 code (camshaft position sensor and engine/crankshaft speed sensor not in correlation). I just got my ross-tech vcds and I've been playing around with it BUT I don't really know what to check. I need to check the timing and also see which sensor is not reading the correct values. What is the best way about doing this? Can't I go in and turn off each sensor with the engine running and see which sensor effects the idling or do I just need to look at the values?

In VCDS ,in the OBD screen , there are some parameters of the engine you can see live data.
I don’t remember it exactly right now, but if you explore that screen, you’ll find some good information about your engine.

The camshaft sensor information probably is there.
Will send some screenshots if i find it later.
