how to get old injector seats out

I'm lost as to how to get them out...it's a 1.8 16V....I'm talking about the larger plastic piece that goes around the injectors...brown in color...not the seals themselves...anyone have any info...or am I f'd since 1 is broke already...there has to be a way to replace...

I believe you are talking about the injector inserts. If so, these have an internal hex pattern, you just need a properly sized (I don't know the dimension) hex key.

I think its 12 or 13mm. Be prepared to apply some serious force. Mine had become one with the intake manifold. I used the handle off a bottle jack as a breaker bar on my hex key.

The threads were locktited from the factory on mine. To seal air leaks, I believe.

the brass piece that the injector sits in and the plastic part are one piece.
Do yourself a favor, don't pay for any allen wrenches. go to the the hardware store and get a long bolt with a (i believe) 10mm head. bend the bolt so you can use it like a wrench. yeah, they are in there pretty good.
