I am getting ready to paint my stubbies but I cant seem to get the skin off of the mirror. I got one of the clips on the left side as your looking in the glass (of the drivers side mirror) but I cant seem to see or find another clip holding the skin on on the other side(the elbow side). Any help would be great.

Im pretty sure it is because i looked at stock mirror DIYs for mirror cover removal, and it seems the stubbies are missing some screws that the stock ones have.
would like to know also.

I used a heat gun and a pry bar.

Look at the bottom of the housing.
There is a small round cap that you need to take off.
When you remove the cap shine a light in there and you will see a metal clip thing.
Use a long skrewdriver and push the clip forward (to the glass) and pull up on the housing at the same time.
It might be a littly tricky to get the skrewdriver behind the metal clip but it will work.
Look at the bottom of the housing.
