If the ignition key worked in the doors, like most VWs, take off the door handle and take it to a locksmith. He will make you a new key that will work and you don't have to wreck anything to do it. 2 screws hold the door handle on. One under the little cover on the outside and one on the door jam.
Unfortunately, you need the key to jumpstart the car (compression start)..... if this was your question, you'd put the key in the on position (one click forward) and then have someone push your car or roll it down a hill..... once you have some speed, put the car in second and let out the clutch and off you go.
No keys though...... you really don't wanna ruin it by stuffing a screwdriver in the hole. See the other suggestions.
