Ok, I'm going to get one of those $20 plate covers.
Now, is there something I can put on the headlights?

i'm not sure about texas but here, you cannot modify the actual plate . can't even put another sticker besides state sticker on it (i had a small steal your face sticker on my car & was told to take it off)
get one of those stupid smoked plastic plate covers...

Texas is a two plate state, but I've had a euro plate on there for a year with no hassles. I'd like to get a simple cover for it, but the only ones I'm finding are for US Spec plates. Guess I can just put my regular plate back on

Actually, I wish I could just remove the plate entirely, but the @!$% holes

If it's from photo radar there is a ton of anti-photo radar sprays that you can get. They just cause over exposure from the flash. The ones that first came to market were only good for a couple of days, but the current sprays out there are usually perminant.

I swear I've heard that hairspray helps, but that may just be a myth, never tested it myself.

I have heard that one myself. Also...
Raid Bug killer might work
Pam anti stick pan spray might work
Whipped cream in a spray can might work.

I'm not trying to confuse camera or radar, I'm trying to confuse LIDAR.

As I thought.

That plate cover will certainly help. So will angling your plate up or downward a bit (I prefer downward myself).
I have seen other similar lidar plate covers which are crystal clear. I intend to buy a couple, trim them to fit, and mount them on my headlights and forward parking lights. I've already blacked out the whole nose, removing all chrome, emblems, etc.
