So, I want to paint my emblems this weekend. What kind of paint/materials do I need?

plasti dip is your best bet
but i just used cheap krylon fusion satin black paint
i repaint my front one every 2 or 3 months
it will get 2 or 3 tiny chips and it drives me nuts
i just sanded them with 800 grit, tack cloth, and paint
rear one heat it up with a blowdryer for a few seconds and pull it off with floss
use goo be gone to remove any residue
then use 3m double sided tape to reapply
front one its easiest to just take out the 4 screws to remove the grill
push in the tabs and rotate and its out

Prep can make or break this type of job, be sure to pay special attention!

Also, make sure the climate you try to do it in isn't too humid. I once had a friend try painting emblems outside at night time, in an uncovered area and it was a handful to get the paint to apply and dry properly!

I went the plasti dip route. I am just doing the front to see how it turns out. Should look good.
