HI I WAS TOLD TO RESET MY ENGINE LIGHT AND THE BOOK IS NO HELP SO DOES ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW HOW TO RESET THE LIGHT??????? I HAVE A 96 GOLF GL 2.0.......THANKS MIKE

Remove battery negative terminal cable for 1 minute.

My experience has shown me that pulling the battery cable does not reset the CEL. After I got the problems causing the CEL fixed, mine went out automatically after about 30 miles.

YOU HAVE TO START BY NOT POSTING IN ALL CAPS. Go take it to autozone, have them plug in there port scanner, find out the issue, then have them clear it. Or go buy one and do it yourself.

ok so i called auto zone and were going to do that so thanks and i wont post in cap locks again.
