Hows this exhaust setup sound to you?

ok guys, i got a 98 gti vr. supersprint stainless header wrapped and sprayed sitting in the garage. im debating on whether a turn2 race pipe and 2.25 mandrel bent stainless with two resonators and borla. Or, full custom 2.5 test pipe and 2.5 stainless mandrel bent with two resonators and borla. the collector diameter is around 2.5 so the 2.5 full system would be SUPER flowing. but the 2.25 with turn2 pipe would be quieter and have a little restriction which is also good.
also keep in consideration i got a set of 268's going in soon. headwork is in future for sure but not till next coming spring.

any thoughts welcomed. but no side exit stuff

2.5 setup if your going 268's in the long run. Better flowing capacity up top which is where the cams perform best anyways. Might as well maximize their potential.

Definately 2.5. The TT/Flowmaster is proven to give a little more hp than the borla but not by much

does anyone think this 2.5 from the header back will be too loud? i know it will need a few resonators. ive heard going 2.5 is ok but if you replace the cat also with 2.5 straight thru it will lose alot of low end grunt.

I know I have a Mk4 VR6 but...for what it's worth, I just got my TT cat back installed. 2.5" w/Borla and no resonator. It's loud.

nifty vid yo! sounds nice and clean...I need to drop a vid also to compare, but I need to know some variables to keep constant so we can really compare!
questions to satisfy my curiousity,
what gear did you run that in?
how much force does it take to pop the camera back like that?
were the windows rolled up or down?
what camera are you using?
was the engine warmed up or from cold start?
Anything else?
we should start a exhaust sounds only thread!

The car has a pressence but is not too loud. I love going under briges where I can really hear it. Nice burble on engine breaking to. I changed the factory rear hanger to a solid type that can only move backwards and forwards and not up and down. This got rid of the bouncyness in the system. The new exhaust is probably heavyer than the factory system and was over flexing the stock ruber hangers. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

i have 2.5 test pipe right off the header. 2.5 tt 2 resanator with flowmaster.i realy dont notice a noise diff between borla,flowmaster,just a diff tone. there was no loss in torque,even with the 268s.

1. Rolling in first from 1100 to 6750 (Thats my redline) 2nd gear was to 6000
2. It's a VR6

I have the TT Catback and Eurosport CAI
3. Window's were down and the sunroof was in tilt
4. My Digital camera, Kodak easy share LS443
5. Engine was at temp
6. The clip does nothing for how it really sounds
