HPA has been building forced induction packages for the 3.2 VR6 for well over 10 years now. Designed, tested and proven in-house, our cars are some of the fastest VWs on the planet, while still maintaining reliability and longevity. Our committed craftsmen hand-fabricate many of the integral components used in our systems, allowing for extremely strict quality control. Our in-house 4-wheel-drive SuperFlow dyno gives us the capacity to fine tune every system we sell, and dial in every car we build. Nothing leaves our doors until we’re 100% satisfied that what we are producing is the best in the business. We are your single source for VR6 aftermarket design.

Currently, we offer 2 basic turbo kit configurations for the 3.2 VR6 engine, utilizing the same ultra-efficient BorgWarner 7670 single scroll turbo. The entry level DTM Turbo Kit, a non-intercooled kit running 360 HP/TQ at a lower boost level, and the EFR400 Turbo Kit, which features both our Integrated Intake Manifold and Charge Air Cooling System (in addition to the components included in the DTM), running a minimum 390 HP/TQ with lower compression and much higher boost potential.

DTM 7670 Turbo Kit (360 HP / 360 Ft/lbs TQ)



Built with all the same core hardware as our 500+ HP systems, this DTM package simplifies the installation process, allowing the builder to roll in and out of a garage in around 3 days.

Utilizing a 3mm head spacer plate (9:1 compression), the DTM offers a significant performance boost to the stock VR6, while the BorgWarner 7670 offers immediate throttle response and strong acceleration throughout the power band - with virtually no boost lag. A TurboSmart manual boost controller is included to help regulate boost at a safe level, influenced by each car’s individual hardware configuration and fuel quality.

Optional ceramic coating is available for the turbo housing, exhaust manifold, and custom downpipe, to further assist in keeping core temperatures down.

Future expansion is a breeze, as our Liquid Cooled Intake Manifold, Compression Reduction Kit, and Charge Air Cooling Kit components can be added at a later time to further optimize the performance of this kit.

EFR400 Intercooled Turbo Kit (minimum 390 HP / 390 Ft/lbs TQ)



With the addition of our Liquid Cooled Intake Manifold, the EFR400 Turbo Kit offers the shortest intercooled boost track possible for any FI application on the 3.2 VR6.

The all-aluminum air-to-liquid system works by transferring the charge air heat (from the turbocharger) to a liquid coolant, which is then pumped through a remotely located heat exchanger, where ambient cooling air removes the heat. Ideal for daily driving or track usage, the EFR400 setup allows HPA to tune the 3.2 VR6 around a consistent intake temperature, maximizing the VR6’s HP and torque potential.

A 7:1 compression kit, including a 5mm head spacer plate and lengthened custom timing chain, allow for much higher peak boost levels than the DTM kit.

Upgrade Option List

The EFR Edition Single Turbo Package allows the enthusiast an easy upgrade path to realizing 475+HP and 500+ ft lbs/TQ (Crank).

These upgrades include:

  • High flow 100C Cat Cores
  • Inline Fuel pump
  • Race Grade Connecting Rod Bearings
  • Large MAF
  • 750ml High Flow Fuel Injectors
  • Performance ECU Upgrade

Until we go into larger scale production with these, the pricing will be on the higher end of the scale.

US$3500.00.

If course, if the system is sold with a turbo kit, I am usually able to negotiate a little. ;)

Each system takes nearly 24 hours to build (currently), which will help you understand where that cost is derived.

I understand its not for everybody, but the performance and quality are there.
