Dasfuls.com has been updated (webmaster Jeremy got his ass in gear after I hounded him for a while) - the home page is been updated, with a nice intro, and a misc bitching section has been added, Dasfüls style! Included are rants, and I was first to submit as per usual.
Feel free to take a few minutes to give it a read - you can let me know what you think, even if I don't give a rat's ass

Disclaimer: The material has been written with intent of offending as many people as possible.
There has been a few things updated lately so check the link in the sig too

Mk3 content: Everyone in Dasfüls owns one except Clayton.. and well, now Bryan.

Werd! I especially agree with your comment on how people ask others what they should do next. I for one have so many pland for not just my current car, but my next car as well. IMO, if you have to ask what you should do next, maybe you just shouldn't do anything.

Glad you guys all approve. I'm starting a "stupid Vortex thread" section, too... I have one file on tap, but haven't made the page for it yet.

Yup Jeremy has mad skillz making webpages, I can't imagine how cool our site would be if he wasn't lazy at all!
(Whereas I would spend countless hours on the page, but I got no skillz)

Although I agree 100% with all you said- and try to build my car in many of the ways that you have mentioned, I think the overall picture has started to encompass way too much. You are right on in every respect, I just hope that when it all comes down to it the car is seen still as a material object that does not provide happiness in itself- In the broad scope of things we tend to look to material things to provide us with happiness or to fill a void in our lives- I am not saying that this is what you are doing, nor am I trying to flame you. I just had to get it off my chest that cars are not everything and I am sure you realize that. Given that, maybe we should take this as a motto to live our lives by, not just build our cars. If the majority of the World would live their lives with a goal everyone would be better off.
Just my $.02.

hmm.. definetly an interesting rant.. but i have to disagree about one thing. When you ask someone what they think of a mod, it is more than likely a very good idea to get a second opinion..
In the past i have done a few things to my car (that i didnt like) and if i would have asked for a second opinion guess what, it wouldnt have happened..
Also sometimes its just really tough to decide lets say if you are torn between 2 different wheels that you have been considering so you ask others..
I do strongly agree with the "dont ask me what to do next" philosophy though. thats absolutely annoying. Just do what you want, who are we to tell you how to style your car.

BTW, I believe the "what should I do next" is okay when talking about performance items. When it's a car fashion question the owner should have enough common sense to do what he or she would be satisfied with.

i completely agree here, performance questions are in a totally different realm because a lot of people dont know how a "268 cam" will effect their car..
