Ok, this might sound stupid, but I was at the Porsche dealer the other day and I really like how Porsche puts their red blinking alarm light on the dash. I like this design because it is alot more visible to thieves, etc. Does anyone know if it is possible to wire a red blinking light to the dash?? Thanks.

Isn't there a red blinking light next to the door lock? I would think that would work just as well...

Yes, there is, but I like the idea of the light on the dash too. I would keep the stock blinking light on the door.

Yeah, keeo the door LED...i mean, if you want more work for yourself...feel free to place a red LED on the dash....my door light is fine

It shouldn't be too hard to do at all from an engineering standpoint -- it's just a pain in the ass to take off all the panels and rewire the whole thing. GO FOR IT though, it would be cooL!

it shouldn't be too hard to put a led in the center defrost vent. (i'm assuming you don't actually want to cut into the dash) any decent stereo shop could do it.. or you could do it if you were just patient enough.

screw an extra light that blinks and hopefully deters theft. if all you have is a factory alarm your playing with your investment. get a real alarm with an immobilizer.
