my gf's mom owns a sign shop.
the shop has a printer (well actually a "cutter") which can cut vinyl into stickers. anything from 1/64th of an inch to about 1x8 feet.
i am allowed to make use of printer for free, the only thing is i have to buy the sheets of vinyl sticker.
this brings me to the following question: what should i do about this opportunity in the "automotive" direction?
yes i am aware that stickers are ricey. however i am sure there is some reasonable use for this ability other than putting a hundred stickers for parts on my car.

Officially licensed stickers or copyright be-damned flea market style stickers?

make 2 of the 1x8 feet ones that reads "I hate stickers on cars" ...put one on each side of your car.

cut out some sweet custom brake rotor/pad/caliper stickers.
make sure to get them positioned so they cover the entire braking surface.

well, what i was thinking was:
1)i don't want to break any laws so if it's "fake" stickers i would only use them in a legal (or at least harmless to company) manner.
2)if it is possible i'd like an original uncopyrighted idea that i could do just as a near-free service to the car community (don't really think i can make money, just recoup costs)

you know, i wasn't being agressive or rice-like when i asked. i was just thinking maybe someone had an idea and couldn't realize it without spending a lot of money.
maybe i can make a decent stick on dash kit or something.

If you wanted to do something useful:
Reproduce vinyl decals as faithfully as you can for old VW's and other cars, such as the side trim and rear window trim on Rabbit GTI's.
I'm quite certain people would pay for such things, if done as exactly as possible.

Yep! People do that for old domestics. But, say you replace the door on your AE86 and you want the "GT-S twin cam 16" sticker back. Where are you going to get it? Does Toyota still make that? You might find one NOS somewhere, but that's about it.

If you can make a decent-looking McCain / Clark 2004 sticker for a reasonable price, I'll buy one. Seriously. I've been meaning to look around for custom-sticker websites - thanks for reminding me.
Everyone else - write in McCain / Clark in November if you know what's good for you!

Go hang around your local tuner shop or car club or car nut hangout or whatever, see if they want stickers, get them made, make a profit. Might be nice little business opportunity, I know my mechanic had custom stickers made for his shop and they were expensive.
