I have two questions....and I need answers please.

My buddy mike actually has the questions but since his PC took a crap he asked if I could post them.
The first question is for all of you who have shaved your own bumpers.
What brand of plastic welder do you prefer/suggest?
And the 2nd question is for those of you who are knowledged in air ride systems.
Is there an application for the MKIII that has threaded struts/shocks so you can go real low?
I've heard of these applications being available for mini trucks but nothing for a VW.

Not many people. Waste of money. Just use scrap plastice and a soldering iron.

for a DIYer id suggest one of these..

airless kit, plug n play
and about the air suspension, i havent seen struts like that. if he want go super low i would suggest a kit with air struts

yeah man, soldering iron + spare bumper.
if you go to an art place like Michaels they have soldering iron/wood burning kits that come with like 8 different tips.

Nah man you're way off. First of all in order for me to want to know all this I would have to have plans to do this to my car and there's nothing happening to my cabby anytime soon other then it sitting and collecting dust until next year when it goes up for sale.
The cabby is done and will be done until someone buys it and does what they want to it. Its been a fun 3yrs+ with it but its time to move on.

a plastic welder is just a 200 dollar glorified 1500 watt 14.99 radioshack soddring iron ..
the same soddering iron has done
my front and rear bumpers
shaved my pillars
saved many vr lips and duckbills
terrors pillars
terrors og bumper
terrors fully shaved euro bumper
terrors current front and rear bumpers
a couple mk2 big bumpers
mine terrors and dustins badgless vento grills
probibly alot more im forgetting
oh and a few wires also but if you dont get the idea BUY A SODDERING IRON at radio shack
