Even though i really don't even like the car that much i was surprised to see one in the parking lot of the Pasadena shopping mall. At first I though it was a GTI (but not really), then upon inspection it had an A3 badge, 1.8t. Gold color I believe. They are not supposed to be for sale here... or am i the newest member to the "welcome to last month" club?

Hmm maybe they are testing them here? I dunno, kinda strange seeing one though? I think it just wouldn't be worth the trouble to import that car from Mexico would it?
Oh Tabula, heh glad you noticed! Not many people know what an ar10 is. Finest piece in my collection, i managed to get one before the ban in Cali.

Not that odd actually, yet nobody observed the tag? Recently, twice actually I have seen the Honda Civic akin Acura 1.6 EL motoring around in Sacramento, Ca this is the car Honda sells under the Acura label in B.C.

Yeah I saw a number of those the last couple times I was in Canada. I thought "Civic! Only I bet it's more expensive!"

Well they do test cars in westlake CA and they take them home all the time, i've seen everything usually a year or so before the come out and i know they have an S3 there now cause my friends dad works there. But here is the deal, i've also heard rumors that Beverly Hills Audi dealerships are selling A3 and ordering S3's which would surpise me as they can get anything they want down there.
Well they do test cars in westlake CA and they take them home all the time, i've seen everything usually a year or so before the come out and i know they have an S3 there now cause my friends dad works there. But here is the deal, i've also heard rumors that Beverly Hills Audi dealerships are selling A3 and ordering S3's which would surpise me as they can get anything they want down there.

Yes I've noticed plenty of A3's in the Sherman Oaks area, from Moorpark, along N Beverly Glen Blvd, up the hills toward West LA. At one time, I saw a nogaro colored A3, followed by a black one. A month ago, a saw three white A3's in sucession dring down the hill to Sherman Oaks. I think this is really odd. People who test new cars usually do so at the other side of the hill, in West LA along Sunset Blvd (around the UCLA area). What the heck are they doing in a dump like Sherman Oaks?! On a side note, I think they were just regular A3's. Definetly not S3, and neither did I see a Quattro badge either, so it's probably not even the A3 Sport.

One was acutally an S3, red with a tuner's name on it, but I forget the nam! doh! The license plate frame said "at 200 mph you have no friends". This was around Glendale on I-5.
The other was a Black A3 on 405 near Huntington Beach.
Both cars had California plates! The S3 even had personalized plates, but I forget what they said. I think they had the tuner's name on them. Like ABT (but not ABt?) or something..

Is there some type of auto company headquarters or testing facility in that area? I think JD Power is in Agoura Hills?
