Well it's been 6 months since I klass'ed my car.... including a salty northeast winter (Rochester, NY). I just washed my car yesterday and figured I'd take a few pics. Here's one of them.

Re: I Klass'ed my Jetta before the Winter (berky)

Nice! I'm going to have to take the Klass plunge some day, just don't want to see all my other stuff go to waste.

How does the surface feel? Does it feel all gritty? Just trying to gauge how well the Klasse protected your paint over that 6 months. I know w/ Blitz, after 1 coat and 6 months, it gets pretty gritty...and there's no snow out where I live.

My car is Klasse'd, and it still DOES feel gritty. Except that now the debris are lodged not into the clearcoat but into the layer of Klasse. At least partially. Anyway, it's time for another round of 3-times-a-year re-Klasse-fication!!

I Klasse'd my car last October and it is still holding up great. I really can't believe anything can stand up to all the salt thats been dumped on the roads in the past few month. I think I will do the Klasse twins twice a year, I think any more may not be needed.

The key is as many coats of SG as you can stand! I did two over the whole car, and three on the hood/roof since those get more sun damage. Looked great in the spring
Just re-Klassed two weeks ago, came out great, though I'm gonna put on at least one more coat of SG. Here's a recent pic:

That's a very stylish pic!! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
My Jetta still looks shiny and reflective, it's just that it's not as quite buttery smooth anymore.

My car is dirty becuase today is wash day, but water still beads after 5 months of Klasse AIO/SG. I'm about to wash, clay and AIO/SG it again for summer.

Yup, need to clay before klasse to get the grit out. I didn't and sealed it in

Good thing it's a quick and easy process. I'll be doing clay & klasse next week

Re: I Klass'ed my Jetta before the Winter (VW-Kayaker)

Nice work berky! Love the Klasse! Saved me a lot of work after tyhe winter last year. Did a great job protecting the paint from the elements and whatnot.
VW-Kayaker...You can get Klasse at a number of online shops. Never seen it in a store though. Try http://www.motorhead.net or http://properautocare.com/
Here's some info on it: http://properautocare.com/klasconkit.html http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
