Those who have taken the plunge.
Which brake upgrade would you consider based upon $/braking performance improvement.
Thanks,

The stage 1, 2, and 2+ are great for what you get.

Probably some ATE blue racing fluid, some ferrodo red box pads and SS lines.
Cross drilled rotors are way over rated and crack
MK4 owners don't really know much technicial stuff. J/K

i am doing the abdracing cross drilled rotors which are same size as factory ones with stailess steel brake lines and mintex brake pads for around 600. if your interested let me know and i will see if i can get the same deal for you. it might be under 600 if i remember correctly.

Your stock rotors are plenty capable, crossdrilled's are worthless IMHO cause they crack. Get a good set of pads, some stainless steel lines and ATE superblue, pedal feel will be greatly improved and stopping distances will decrease.

I want to get slotted (not cross-drilled) rotors and SS brake lines for my car. Anyone know a good place to get 'em?

call this place, they seemed extremely knowledgeable and had plenty of time to talk brakes http://www.frozenrotors.com

I would go with the Audi TT 12.3" kit with slotted rotors. You can get a complete set with everything you need for around $500 [http://www.velocitysport.com

Does it use the VW calipers then?
So that the only TT part is the holders?
Re: I need feedback "Best Brakes for the Buck" upgrade? (keycom)

i would do the tt kit also.
