i bought a jetta recently and the car had a lot of modifications done to it some more obvious than others, i bought it 3rd party and cant ask the person who did the work. i noticed the cylinder head is a German built and the cam is Brazilian so it made me wonder if its after market. the car had a new dimensions turbo kit on it.
this was in an 87 cis-e car
any info is appreciated. i have not miced it yet, but here is some pics

Re: i need help identifying a camshaft [big pics] (raabbiitt)

send it to my shop we could measure it quick and maybe tell you who ground it! it does look stock but the j on the end makes me think it was reground if you dont want to ship it and can find a micrometer measure the base circle diameter on all lobes to 10 thousands of an inch im betting that they are not the same which is how many cams are ground even from the factory... just my 2 cents,, check my sig.
