I worked the evening shift and I was on my way home on I-20 East in Atlanta, GA. I was almost home when I saw a 1.8t Jetta on the side of the road, hazard lights on and all. So I pulled over to help the fellow dubber. It turned out to be a 30 year old woman and her young child, stranded in the cold. She had turned the car off because she said the CEL light was flashing. So I asked her to start it and it started rumbling like a old lawn mower starved of fuel. I had heard the many stories on the tex about coils failing so I knew what it was. She said she called Roadside Assistance and they told her about 60-90 mins for a Tow truck and it was cold as hell. Georgia is in the cold. Feels like Chicago at around 10-15 degrees. I had two spare packs in the first aid kit spot. I really wanted to be selfish and not give them away, but I guess two is enough and I could always order another. I played musical coilpacks and it turned out the be the #3 pack. She was on her way and really appreciated it. It's sad that a young child had to endure the freezing cold because of VW (or Bremi). VW needs to find a new vendor, or pay the high prices hitachi was charging them for the packs. VW owes me a cool fitty. http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif
