VW spec says 0.32 here: http://www.vw.com/pwagon/usaspecs.htm#tech

That's interesing that the new design has a higher drag coefficient. I would have thought it would be less since it looks more streamlined.

Well it's got so much more grille fins than before; and those chrome mouldings don't help either

iirc, the B5.5 also rides a little higher (more ground clearance) than the B5; resulting in a higer co-efficient of drag.

yeah, I doubt the chrome does much for the slipperiness. The unadorned '98-'01s were shaped like a bar of soap, nothing much more sleek than that.

.32 is for the passat wagon. if you look at the complete specs at vw.com, you'll see the sedan still has a .27 drag coefficient.

koffedrnkr is correct. 0.27cd for sedan and 0.32cd for the wagon. Everytime I look at specs there, I look at the ones for the wagon (cause I have one) forgetting some specs are different for the sedan.
