It actually looked good, the proportions were perfect, the trunklid is barely noticeable when you get to look at the whole car moving. Though I must admit, if it had smaller wheels, it would look kinda weird.

I saw one in the flesh also and liked it....its still a little weird but it looks much better in person than in pics

Yeah, proportions are everything. It's hard to make an ugly car when you get the lines and stance right, and in this regard, I think the 7 series is very attractive and a refreshing departure from the more wedged shape of before. The trunk is really growing on me, so it's really just those ghastly headlights and complexity of the car that I have a problem with. Remember when the E46 cars came out? It took a while for people to get used to the look, from what I recollect, and now they're regarded as one of the most attractive sedans in production.

I saw a black one parked on the street yesterday. In person I thought it looked slightly better than in pictures, but I wouldn't call it good looking by any stretch. However, it sure caught my eye, and from the back, it even had a sort of artistic flair to it.

However, when the old E38 7-series came out, I drooled every time I saw one. No contest, I like the old one better.

Yeah in person, the thing does look a little better. Surprisingly the Rear looks better than the droopy goofy front.
Big Wheels are a must on this car eh?
I noticed at the dealer that the smallest wheels are like an 18"

I've seen two in the last couple of days, and the first one frightened me. I was prepared for it (saw pictures online and saw it at the L.A. Auto Show), but when I looked in the mirror and saw it, I swear it gave me a chill... that thing is honestly awful. I did find an angle at which it looks good however. Looking at the bottom of the car from above as its carried on the second level of a car transporter (the second one I saw), it doesn't look too bad.
