My 2.0 is loud as hell, p-flo, autotech exhuast, and Brospeed Header. Which of these do you think is the culprit for adding the most noise, most likely it is the exhuast. I gotta tone it down a little bit, I have to play the stereo loud to drown out the engine noise and I'll probably be going deaf soon from all the noise.

Re: I want a quiter 2.0 (RJetta8V)

From an Engine noise standpoint I would recommend you find someone with a VR6 engine who wants to get rid of their hood insulation. Give them a pack of beer for it (that's what mine cost), put that puppy on under the hood, and you'll have a much quiter engine. You could also lose the P-flo and put the stock box back in, that'll make the largest difference.
From an exhaust standpoint, I don't know what your setup is but I assume you only have one resonator. Adding the second (TT perhaps) will make a major difference in the exhaust sound.
I don't think the header makes much difference.

The "Xtreme" stuff is the easiest to work with, no pre-heating needed. The "Original" is kind of tough to work with unless you warm it up first.
Great stuff. I put it directly onto the sheet metal flooring of my trunk and under the rear seats in my 2001 golf after I put a magnaflow catback exhaust on and it quited the interior sound down pretty good. It stiffens up the sheet metal so it doesn't resonate. Any aftermarket exhaust turns your trunk/spare tire compartment into a sub bass box! All the exhaust noise is coming from out of the tail pipes. So start from the back and work your way forward until it's quiet enough for you.
This way you could still keep all your current mods.

I'll second the VR6 hood insulation...made my car A LOT quieter. I figured the rest is just that I need a second resonator and maybe some of this dynamat stuff...hmmm.
