Welcome. This thread will disappoint you.
I want to add weight to my shifter to get a good idea for what weight I'll need when I buy a replacement knob. My theory is I can get some washer-shaped weights of some sort to put on the shaft just below the OEM knob.
So, here's my question: What is a good source for something like this? Flat washers with enough weight tend to have too large of an outer diameter to really work for this. Ideally, I'd want something thick and heavy, with an outer diameter of no more than about 1 1/4" or so and an inner diameter of about 3/8." Something that could be easily stacked and glued together would be a plus.
Think this, only smaller and preferably not magnetic.

Ideas?

I removed the factory weight from the linkage on my Speed3, and while I love the way the car shifts, I dislike the lack of heft, so I'm trying to balance that out by adding weight to the shifter itself. I'd like to get a good idea for how much more weight I want in the knob before I actually drop $100 on a presentable aftermarket unit.
