Maybe I'm thinking of a different clip, but I didn't perceive any "douchery" whatsoever, though none of his (nor Danica's) "insights" into the Si's performance were revolutionary.

I watched an episode of this show with this guy (Tommy Kendall, he's a very successful racer, look him up) and Hans Stuck driving the M6 and Z4 M roadster and I thought it was cool! He's a little goofy, but no other American-made TV show does nearly as good a job driving and enjoying the hell out of modern cars.

Edit: I also have to say - Danica looks and sounds a thousand times better when she's unscripted and unprimped. Watching her do those "power block" segments on TNN...er...Spike is always torture.

How does he come off as that? I met him at the Long Beach GP celebrity race a couple of years ago and he's a genuinely nice guy. I remember watching him hand everybody their ass in Trans Am on Speedvision.

He's annoying on all the Test Drives I've watched. I would expect him to be better in person as he's not reading a script and getting all the correct "plugs" into his conversation.

The C6 Corvette episode ran like a paid advertisement, but the BMW M cars episode was flat out wonderful! edit: the AMG show was great, too.
The Civic Si episode was somewhere in between. Tommy and Danica's track time was more about being cheeky and less about analysis and feedback.
As for Kendall, he sounds like a good guy. Maybe not the best salesman or tv host, but a professional car driver driving cars is more important. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

TK is a great guy, and the "show" well i like it because even though they are paid placement infomericals they are better then 90% of the us produced real automotive programming
i mean watch motorweek now, they don't even say anything negative about any cars anymore, and they don't even have to worry about stepping on sponsors feet
