The show was great, I had a really good time. The VW display was cool, and I got to see the Jetta GLi, Passat W8, and NB Turbo S. The 6-speed on the GLi was very slick and there was no grinding whatsoever. It did feel a little rubbery, but it was very low effort. I asked a representative about the GLX Jetta with a 6-speed, and she said that VW is thinking about, but it won't be coming soon.
The Acura display was awesome, and I found out that the new 3.2CL-S is coming with a very precise 6-speed manual
The RSX sucked big time. It was a huge disappointment. The interior was horrible, but the shifter and seats were good.
Probably the most disappointing car was the Suburu WRX. The interior looked as if it came out a '92 Cavalier and the shifting was crap. The seat were comfortable.
Jaguar was impressive and they keep getting better and better with a new S-type R. Infiniti also had some cool cars, but the I35 sucked.
I got to sit in the new X5 which had 315mm tires (20") as well as the new M3 with the SNG tranmission.

yeah, I was there the other day...that Lotus Espirit was by far my favorite. I was standing by the new lotus when I heard some guy say "nice car, too bad mine's faster"
...maybe he's got a lamborghini, I dunno.
Did anybody see the rebuilt racing scirocco? That was a sweet car....

Someone obviously stole the cap and they put tape there so some dumbass won't pour soda or whatever down there.

If anyone see an M3 cap on a Civic engine, call BMW immediately.

Actually, i wouldn't be surprised if they took the cap off so people wouldn't steal it. Haven't you noticed how a lot of the cars at the auto show don't have shift knobs either? I think they take off all the parts that can be removed.
