should i be able to blow through it when it is closed?
i took it out cuz i was idling funny and i can blow through it a little at it most closed point
which i adjusted with the little screw on it

Typically those things will be partially open when unplugged. When it is energized it will close and prevent air flow.

lol, no problem. Not in too big a hurry since I cant drive it till mid-december anyway.
