Nope though I do think that's the right era.

The sharper angles make me think more Japanese from that timeframe but I'm not sure what...

The latch appears to slide to open and not have a locking keyhole. Even by the time of the '86 Camry I briefly owned, it was a pull-open and there was a lock to the side:

The detail that I think will prove to be telltale is the way not only is there the sharp angle within the dash, but the way the glovebox door incorporates that sharp angle. Even on examples where that dash angle looks similar, I haven't found one where the glovebox opening shares that angle.

Squeeze latch, sharp angles, dedicated cigarette holder do still all scream early-mid'80s Japanese to me though...
