Question.... could a non working idles stabilizer valve on the passenger side strut mount affect emissions testing. It failed last week and I been going over connections under the hood and found that that valve wasn't grounded. I've also been having idle problems as well. I just added a ground wire to the connector and the idle changed immediately. Will this have any good affects towards passing emissions? I was running real rich and the tech couldn't adjust it done. The O2 sensor was new only 2 days old. freq valve is buzzing away too.

Re: Idles stabilizer valve???? (JamminJetta)

it is possible to effect emmisons,. what the idle stabilzier valve does is create a controlled vacuum leak to regulate idle.,...

Re: Idles stabilizer valve???? (DeathsHead1979)

I know the tech and he put a sticker on it. I still wanna figure out what's not working. The idle stabilizer was the first thing I looked at cuz of my idle problem.. Is it OK to just add a ground wire? Will it affect anything else in a bad way?
