What would it be? We are choosing from current production models. Would it be a diesel, gas, electric, etc? Keep in mind the whole world is driving the same car, so you have to pick a car that would be applicable in all parts of the world. That means they have to have gas or electricity, etc. So, what would it be?

Do you really see people in say India or China driving a fancy car like a Corolla? Certainly not many of them would. Obviously it would never happen, but it would come down to:
Focus
Golf
Corolla
in other words the three best selling cars. The United States would get around it by just buying Ford F150s and not bothering with cars!

Now what if we made an average of what every person in the world owns as an "automobile" and then put that into an average current production model.... and I mean the entire world. I don't even know if that's enough to actually build an automobile.
And I mean something like this:
(added market value of all individually owned automobiles in the world) / (number of people in the world, roughly 6billion) = (MSRP of our "economy" car) ...
Anyone up for this?

well except the vast majority of people don't own a car. And I would venture to guess that a large majority of cars on the roads are used. The US, Europe, Japan and a few other countries (Canada, Australia, NZ, etc) are major exceptions to the rest of the world in terms of cars.

fiat panda is king!
When I was in Europe in June, I fell in love with an Italian Cutie. Uber practical. Roomy, comfortable, All wheel drive, cheap, economical & fun to drive. can't beat it.
