What would you do? You have a $1000 dollar limit and the goal is to make as much power as possible without destroying drivability. What do you do?

Okay now assuming you live in a non-icy climate, meaning no road salt.
3" Downpipe from ChrisG or ATP=$300w/cat
3" Custom Mild Steel exhaust Mandrel bent =$125-$250
Upsolute Chip=$325 or better

Cone Filter W/ Heatshield.=$270
Total Assuming all costs on the high side? ====$1155
Should take most cars into Low 14's maybe 13's

What would you do? You have a $1000 dollar limit

APR with ECMS (so you can fool the dealer) - then with the extra $300 -- maybe a downpipe or a exhaust (after getting a great deal).
The chip is really worth the money.

You'd be surprised.... throw $200 on for ABD mounts and some Eibach sport springs and remove most the wheel hop. Take a Quaife and throw it in there down the road. I race on my setup with just springs and motormounts. I recently got a rear sway for 170 but haven't raced on it yet.

Cheapest, dirtiest mods?
$400 APR chip
$15 hack saw to hack off the exhaust
$185 for slicks
$400 for a used 50 shot NO2 system
That's the cheapest way to make the most power
Hey, you didn't tell me I couldn't be shoddy on my mods!

Serisouly though,
i purchased nothing on my car for full price.
APR chip i got at an event for $499 installed with 3 programs.
ATP 3" downpipe $300 with highflow cat and race section
TT 2.5" catback exhaust - $250
EVO CAI - $159
Forge DV - $100
Kosei drag wheels - $300
Nitto drag radials - free (won online)
So you see, the only thing new on my car is the intake, forge, ad the drag radials. Everything else had been hand me down/used.
Goodluck searching but be patient and youll fnid what your looking for.
