OK, quick question. If points and condenser are bad in distributor, would that cause the coil not to send out a spark? Have all wired hooked up correctly, including wire to distributor from ignition coil, but getting absolutely NOTHING. Not even a yellow spark, Help!! Want my car back!!

EDIT: Coil in question is brand new!

I know it has been a couple of weeks since you posted this, but I may have the same problem: no spark from the coil, means no spark at the cap, means no spark at the plug. You ever get this resolved? If so, what did you find?
All the wiring to the coil looks fine, engine is cranking fine, just wont turn over due to no spark. Im baffled....

If points and or cond. are bad you will not get a spark, replace both and set proper gap. Standard procedure for a tune up.
