IM getting a new headgasket, shoudl i replace lifters?

No your lifters are probably fine.

104k, if its not a necessity, i dont plan on it, i mean im guessing the lifters should last the life of the engine.

with that much milage u should replace the lifters look at it this way do u really wana take the head apart to replace them if they fail later on.

Hmm ic......well.........it looks like my R&P may be goin pretty soon. IF anyone has read my other post on the weird sound in my tranny. Im so broke.

Agreed. Lifters aren't that much anyway... a few bucks a piece, right?
