Just a quick story behind it, when i 1st got there i instantly ran a 14.1! wooho! from there i had a little trouble with launching. and at one point "had" to keep going through the wet box because the guy was soaking the damn thing! anyway, after a few runs i met up with a guy with a Subaru, who was surprisingly pretty cool. also there was a more "mature" gentleman in a new g8 who pretty kool too. i kept running with the Subaru and the guy with the g8 would give us pointers when we came back around. oh, it was the 1st time for me at the track with the R and 2nd time for the guy with the subby. as you can see in the vids we were pretty close. but he hit 13s twice and then left. so once i got a few basic things down i was doing ~14.1 constantly for about 4 runs straight. then, coincidentally, my 2nd run after he left, and the last run before i left, i ran a 13.996 with a .000 R/T. and the guy handing out the ticket said i would need a helmet if i kept pulling those stunts.
(he was kool).
overall the track was great; not too many people running so i had enough time to just pull around and line up again. i will say, i NEED better tires; All Season tires suck! you can see in quite a few of the vids that i was letting loose off the line. which i can only usually do in the rain...
OK here are the vids of a few of the runs i did. i'm going to list them in order of when i ran them. like i said, there are a few missing between or didn't come out clear but i have the slips for all.

nice. My best time with basically your exact same mods was a 13.9 as well. Do you have the 93 octane tune or 91?

Wow, your eighth mile time was identical to my best run at Qualcomm. At the time, I had a Carbonio intake and flapper with all season tires. 1.9 60 foot, 8.9 ET, 78mph.

thanks guys. i am running 93 octane tune.
the story behind my launch was that it was hard as heck at 1st because i couldn't get traction. reason being that i ddnt have much time to get to the "right" RPMs once the lights started staging. coincidentally on my last run against the Mercedes i had a few extra second before he staged and i launched at about 5500 exactly. but like i said previous to that i was kinda eye balling it as the light went down and could never get it just right and i would either spin a little or bog.
oh and john i ddnt get the piece from rich. i have a CAI so i decided not to.

Btw it sounds amazing inside the cabin with that CAI..
I have Unres stock exhaust with flapper open
but no CAI just K&N drop in with cut airbox..sounds
deep with the airbox cut out but CAI is the way to go for power http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Stock clutch still catches strong after those launches?
Unless you're on your 2nd..

Re: FV-QR (EMANNvr6)

Nice.. I remember my first time hitting 13's.. i was happy as sh!t to hear the guy say "you got a helmet?"
one day I went down there (stock).. I ran 14.2, 14.1, 14.0.. and right went temperature's starting dropping significantly.. i was getting used to where to launch/shift..
my buddy in shorts/tshirt was like dude lets go im cold.. i was like bro.. one more pass.. wait 20minutes.. i want to break 13.999 (STOCK).. he said no.. im freezing lets go.
he wouldnt take one for the team..
so after I got intake, chip, exhaust.. I came back. First pass 13.7.. 13.6, 13.5, 13.4
i started experimenting between shiftpoints and launches.. 13.4-13.5 consistent.
I think if I go back right now.. I could land a 13.2 with my interior still.. 13.1 if i take my interior out.. but hey.. never know until I try..
our clutches suprisingly.. take alot of abuse.. and still grabs fine!!
but congrats hitting 13s... i bet youre happy.. for now.. eventually you'll get that itch and want lower times!! lol

oh, she ran like a beast. the clutched handled great all night. through the 14 passes i did.

i'm more than sure i could've hit lower times with better tires. currently im running some all season tires so im not surprised. but i was glad i was able to hit 13s with them. that just makes me more excited for the next time i go.

oh and i got that itch right after i left the track.

Re: FV-QR (KoolTrix)

well there must have been something horribly wrong with mine because i couldn't get traction for **** of the line.
and a few times, when i was forced to go through the wet box, my rear end was even kicking out a little.
the guy controlling the tree thought i was RWD. I have more vids that somewhat show it but the quality is kind of bad so I didn't upload them.

Re: FV-QR (lil_kano)

just say no to wetbox..
drive around.. and do a quick lil launch right before the tree.. to get whatever sh-t is on your tires.. off!
launch at 4500-5500.. thats the sweet spot..
what you want to do.. is get all the tires spinning, and by the time it grips, you want to be in the power.. like around 3500rpms.. thats why we launch at like 5000.. so it drops down the sweetspot and just starts pulling from there..
1.8 60ft'ers.. 8.8-8.9 1/8milers.. and the rest is top end/weight reduction.. shift points.. etc..
